New Century’s hosted GIS offers a cost-effective way to include GIS functionality and geographic content in web-enabled applications. Our hosted GIS helps increase efficiency and reduce costs because you don't have to worry about purchasing, installing or managing GIS software, content, and additional hardware. The combination of New Century’s experience in setting up hosted GIS solutions, industry leading applications, and expertise in implementing PODS data models ensures a secure, reliable alternative to organizations maintaining their own system.

Hosting begins with New Century Software implementing a PODS database for the pipeline system. An ESRI ArcGIS Server license and the accompanying hardware are maintained by New Century Software. Once the database is established, New Century’s data migration team will begin to load pipeline, ILI, and other existing data into the PODS database. The data is then spatialized. Our highly capable migration team has successfully converted over 150,000 pipeline miles of client data.

With the database in place and the organization’s data migrated, New Century’s Centerline Browser application is then configured to allow users to access their pipeline GIS data via a secure web connection. This ArcGIS Server application provides a system-wide view of the organization’s pipeline infrastructure. The application provides users a variety of search options to quickly locate the data they need to do their job. Training is provided to ensure that all staff members can confidently use the software.

Finally, New Century Software can handle all of the ongoing data maintenance. Tasks such as adding and removing lines, performing reroutes and merges, and editing PODS attribute data records are managed by experienced Facility Manager users to ensure the integrity of your database.
